Challenges
The primary challenge was to present complex and nuanced contemporary music in a way that remains accessible to both professional musicians and interested listeners. Building the store on Shopify required customization to support music-specific content like score previews and audio playback. Attention was given to responsive design, product taxonomy, and creating a quiet yet expressive visual identity that reflects Sakata’s musical language.
